I just joined the mom club in April 2017 by giving birth to my sweet baby Theo. He's everything. Recently my husband and I moved from NYC to OBX (the opposite of NYC - google it if you don't know) to slow down time and enjoy a simpler life. I am calling this my first retirement and while I love each and every second of every day - I am a real mom of 2018 who also loves her wine (responsibly of course) and to vent about my day to day.
Long Story:
Above Plus... My husband and I have moved a lot in our lives. No we are not military. We just enjoy trying new places and meeting new people. We always used to joke the best way to meet people was to either have a baby or get a dog. We opted for the baby. He's a true joy in lives but also as any parent knows, it's 110% all - the - time. And while most importantly he is happy and healthy - he is an active child who some days causes me to pour that second glass of wine. Wouldn't change it for the world but really - it's not an easy job - even on an easy day.
To sum it up, any time we move, we always are looking for friends. Currently I am in search of friends, virtual and IRL who enjoy being mommies (and daddies) but also enjoy their wine. Parents who can joke about the joys of parenting. My hopes for this site is a place where I can put my unfiltered thoughts out there (asking for judgment free zone) and for other moms (and dads) to share their awesome parenting stories.
